From what I've gathered (a few friends) are having latency/lag problems in the evening. I'm getting an un-raidable 600-800 these days which mean I can't go back to raiding which I have been gearing up for.

Anyone changed from mweb because of this ? If so which is a good ISP for WoW and dling (uncapped) preferably.

Currently on an mweb 1m uncapped and for the last roughly 2 years I've been getting nice 165 ms average latency and was a semi "hard-core" raider during CATA and DS. Now this 600-800 ms is unplayable for raiding def, bearly playable for RHSCENS (which is all I can play with it ATM - sigh).

So, some suggestions/alternative ISP's would be greatly, greatly appreciated !

Thanks

Hi F4bio

Please provide me with your MWEB account details and I'll gladly look into your connection concerns.

Could you please include the tests you've done such as tracert, pings and speeds tests as this will help me find the possible root cause of your connectivity issue.

^ This

Been having the EXACT same problems with Mweb of late in WoW. I can play during the day just fine, 170-200ms which isn't bad, but at night, iv all but given up with Mweb, last night I had 1200ms which makes the game and pvping impossible!
My brother plays the game as well, but is with another ISP, and never gets more than 250ms at night, so its for sure a Mweb thing.

Also currently on 1mb uncapped all inclusive.

900 ms tonight, this makes even doing a RHSCEN hard to impossible not to mention making me look like a noob lol. This is so irritating.

After 12 beautiful as usual 160 ms. But I can't play then... MWEB guy said it was to do with Telkom after looking at my speed tests and pings etc. I dunno I think it's what I've heard in the first place mweb shaping.

It's frustrating as heck, feel like making a youtube video crying to voice my frustration!!!

I feel your pain bro...always placing the blame on someone else Mweb....

Last night my ping on SAIX was 4998 Ms, from Vereeiging to Rosebank. BUT, Telkom are investigating, something about an earth on one of the cables.

Again (dunno why I expected anything else) - beautiful latency after 12 (when it's difficult for me to play) and horrible now in the 4 digits in both WoW and Diablo during the late afternoon and evening, when I wanna play.

Hopefully this gets sorted eventually, sooner rather than later. RHCSCEN are getting old...

I've recently quit WoW, but the last few months I was connecting via my OpenWeb "Gamers King" uncapped account, latency never once went over 200ms regardless of what time of the day (or night) I connected.
I can definitely recommend the account if OpenWeb still has them available.

I'll keep it in mind :)
