MWEB Fibre on Openserve

Anyone use them? Thinking of giving them a try

Good luck!

They don't offer support via email anymore and their phone lines don't work. Other than that disaster their network is all IS since they own them now.

I haven't had too many issues dealing with their online support system a few months back when I had to sort something out for a family member.
I'm severely disappointed in AHs state of support - AfriMan was their only saving grace when it came to support.

Have you tried their network on fibre?

I have not recently but when I was with Supersonic I used a capped account and it was performing as expected on a 200/100 line.

Yes as a suggestion always don't take their "free" routers it's always a clawback rather use your own. Line is already installed and is yours so you are basically only liable for R575 activation fee if they ever want to clawback you. Mweb is offering substantially lower upload speeds so they are likely capping those on the account level :)

I see yea i went for 40/10.
I called them on 087 700 0777 and managed to speak to an agent now - my pending order says Openserve uncapped Fibre Lite so I just wanted to make sure it's not "Lite" due to capping/throttling - she said no its Lite because they dropped their prices.

Their numbers just don't work when phoning from MTN so what network did you use to call them?

strange - I used my freshphone voip account, I managed to get through to them on FNB connect now too. Got no airtime on my MTN sim to try :-)

MTN it does not work it just shows call ended like my screenshots maybe there is some routing issue because I believe their number is on their own voip network.
