Hi, i'd just like to know from the MWEB uncapped users, which of the many file sharing sites out there are being heavily shaped, i.e rapidshare, hotfile (both of which i know are being shaped) etc.

Thanks,

So you want someone to publicly post a nice convenient list of alternative sites which mweb hasn't gotten around to shaping yet?
nice one.

Which results in MWeb having to further shape traffic in order to preserve the integrity of their network and their users' experience, which causes more people to complain about the "slow" service, which causes more people to ask and post about other workarounds, which results in MWeb having to further shape traffic...

If you're on uncapped and can pull down as much as you want, why do you have to be impatient about it too.

No, i don't want anyone to mention the ones which are not being shaped merely the ones which are already being shaped, i have premium accounts with both hotfile and rapidshare and do not want to waste my money on another premium account if it is already being heavily shaped.

rapid share is shaped
most of the posts on here states that
as for hotfile I don't know
even with shaping you can still pull decent amount
I use torrents which is shaped and I'm on 47GB+ for this month so far on 384K line

and i am on 65GB on a 384 line so far this month. Remember the net will still be there tomorrow.

Perhaps because 4Mb uncapped is considerably more expensive that 384k uncapped?

I use Rapidshare, Hotfile and Megaupload - All heavily shaped!

All the major ones are, but there's ways around this, and it's right under your nose ;)
Do a forum search if you still don't know how to get past P2P and File Sharing shaping.

Half a terabyte or more per month on a 4MB line seems reasonable :)

You have used 397.56 GB so far this month. Last Session: 24 June, 2010, 00:19:02 - on 4Mbps line :)

You have used 431.67 GB so far this month

4mb line

494.75

4mb line

You have used 670.61 GB so far this month.

Can't complain about that :D

Big brother is watching...!

571gb on 4meg line.

Streaming HD movies.

well that is about the speed you will get with 384K
max is about 41kb but few 384k lines get that

as for 4096 you should get about 400 but that is if unshapped
