Good day. I requested Telkom to release my ADSL line into the pool in order for another service provider to take it over on my behalf. They obliged. I forwarded the Ref Number to the new service provider to act upon. They informed me that the line had already been taken over by another ISP. Telkom advised me that MWeb had taken the ISP. I have no idea how they managed that as I have no dealings with them. I contacted MWeb (one can only manage that through an agent in a call centre) and the lady confirmed that the number was with them. She 'escalated' the matter to her 'back office staff'.... Three days later I have had no joy in receiving any feedback.
Does anyone know where I could go from here? A number? A name?

Same thing happened with me. I went to the Telkom shop to cancel that adsl and had to create a new one with Telkom. I would rather deal with Telkom than MWeb to resolve this.

Then again this was before the new system was put in place.

Hi Dirk

I believe that a consultant has since been in contact with you to assist with this matter.
As per your discussion with him, we could not pick up any request on the Telkom portal from MWEB, requesting to have the line moved to us.
We have since submitted the request to migrate the line back to Telkom and issued you the reference number.

Should you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to PM me or follow up with Telkom on the status of the migration using the ref provided.
