I left Mweb years ago, but I see that they have a 100/10 FTTH with free inst. etc and 400 gig data for R999.( Openserve)
This seems a good deal.

Anyone got any insight into Mweb support and service?

What you got on telkom, you will get even worse service now.

I dont agree with my fellow poster because the premise of the question relates to FTTH on Openserve

I have FTTH on Openserve with Web Africa
I have helped many residents in my suburb get FTTH

My advise
- FTTH is FTTH . Technically all very good.
- Support hardly comes into it because FTTH doesnt go down or degrade UNLESS some squirrel easts the fibre or some bozo sticks a spade through it
- Openserve fibre support is good when these bad events happen. They have moved their best staff to Fibre

So I recommend Web Africa.
But I havent heard Fibre complaints about MWeb

The biggest hassle with Opoenserve is the installation. There arent enough resources so it isnt great.

I have had Fibre for 2.25 years now. Excellent.
I would worry less about the initial deal. Choose an ISP you like and order via them.
You will never look back

My comment is not based on how well FTTH performs, but the service he will receive. MWEB has been on a downward spiral for years. The number of complaints I have seen unresolved on MWEB FTTH offerings is staggering. Far outstrips most other ISP's I have seen

I don't see it either. The only promo I see is the free installation or free connection + fibre router on the home page.
