I've been with Mweb for many years but moved to another ISP during 2023.
My main reason for the change was because I could only contact Mweb by phone. Every time I had queries I either almost or depleted my phone minutes.
At the time of the move Mweb indicated they are going to move to a WhatsApp helpline but couldn't indicate when.

I was very happy with Mweb and plan to move back to them early in 2025.
I will however only move back if they now have a WhatsApp or any other non phone helpline.

Do they now have a non phone helpline and if so what are experiences with it.

Thanks

Nope. You can't even open ticket on their website anymore and they have a really poor implementation of ChatGPT that gives incorrect info. I'm actually looking at leaving them because it's getting harder and harder to get hold of them and their line quality is getting progressively worse. I'm paying for 350Mb down and I'm getting between 60 and 90 and they can't seem to resolve it.

Edit: I'm currently sitting in a queue of 25 people so I can arrange for them to send someone out to test the line.

At Iafrica/ Mweb since 90's. Also now having trouble to do basic communication with them via email.

Being bombarded with threatening emails which seems coming from them. Complete with their original logos. Mention that unless verified, my email will be blocked and suspended. Then "Proceed here to avoid suspension". Also there is now problems when connecting to my emails. At times difficult to log on, and often being logged out.
If not from them, then somebody is desperately trying to hack my account. I would like to forward these emails to them so they could investigate and warn others. Seems they sadly discontinued support by email.

When i test origin of email by clicking to "forward", under "send to", it says "Mweb". But when moving pointer to "Mweb" then following adress comes up: [email protected]

Nowadays getting these "claimed to be from from Mweb" emails complete with their original logos all the time.
