Mweb - is this normal waiting time???

Hi Everyone

Just a quick question and maybe @MWEB_Guy can answer me on this, I have a 2Mbps ADSL All inclusive Standard account with Mweb (line and data) and mailed [email protected] yesterday (Monday 19/05) to upgrade my package to 4Mbps account.

After hearing nothing from them I decided to call Mweb again. The lady said they have received my email but it will take +/-10 working days to upgrade my account.. Is this really the norm to wait 10 days for a account upgrade? When I upgraded from 1Mbss to 2Mbps it was done in mere seconds...
 
Hi.

We are new customers and we were put on the 2Mbps ADSL while we also had to wait about 10 days to upgrade to the 4Mbps. Sounds about right.

Since I have changed to MWeb , I wish I did not! I have more downtime on my internet know then I have ever had in the last 5 years with my old provider.

Seriously thinking of changing again.
 
Just got an sms that my upgrade is complete...
Seems like I'm very fortunate for not really having any troubles with MWeb thusfar..
 
It seems that there are employees at MWEB that are truly incompetent others are on the other end of the scale awesome. I've also had the issue where as an existing customer wanted to do a line transfer and the first sales agent bombarded me with paperwork. After being put off for a few months I decided to phone back and agent 2 immediately does the application and 3 days later its done and dusted.
