I am currently with Mweb running a Vodacom contract and I am due for an upgrade soon and wanted to see what phones would be available, but on their site I see absolutely nothing about cellphone contracts. Do they even offer Vodacom contracts anymore?

Also, what is the protocol of moving SP? Is it a mission, I just want to move from Mweb to VC straight.

I mean I am already a VC client, I just want to cut Mweb out of the picture.

Well riddle me this, just phone Mweb and they no longer do cell phone contracts SO I get told they will have to cancel my contract, convert me to prepaid and then I must go to another SP.

****ing idiots are Mweb. I am so pissed off I have no words. And obviously I get no upgrade now and I have to wait till I am out of contract until the end of May! ****ers!

AFAIK mweb cellphone contracts should be taken over by vodacomSP so thats where you should be able to do you upgrade at an vodacom or vodacom4U store

Not according to Mweb. Spoke to 2 people and both told me NOPE sorry for you, you don't get an upgrade, and we will be cancelling your contract in May whereby they will put me on pay as you go and if I want to get another contract that is up to me. Have you ever heard such tripe in your life?

This is correct. Your line is already a Vodacom SP number, but the line belongs to Mweb as they are your "Service Provider". When I enter your number it tells me that you must be referred to Mweb for any billing, upgrade etc etc queries. So, once they have converted the number to prepaid, then you will have to re-apply for a new contract in your personal name with Vodacom SP.

and this I have a huge issue with. Not even an email to let me know.

They decent thing they should have done was to port its current clients over to VodacomSP and thus maintained the contract / upgrade.

I am sorry this is not the way you do business.
