Big parts of Mweb Fibre on Openserve in Jhb and Pta out since around 15h45 yesterday.

Update: Good day, the current issue impacting Openserve customers in the nothern region has been identified as an Openserve hardware fault. Openserve engineers are working around the clock to get this resolved.

Mweb blaming Openserve hardware problem but other customers on Openserve with different ISP are unaffected.

No updates from either party since yesterday 18h00. And it it still down this morning.

My neighbor is with Mweb. I'm with Vox/Axxess. We share the same infrastructure. Mine has been 100% - I would imagine this is related to the IP Connect infrastructure in the region specifically related to MWEB.

Same. Our neighbour is with Afrihost. We pull from the same Openserve Fibre Black Box. We were down until now. They had zero down time. We even jumped on their WiFi for the night to keep the kids happy.

I do not blame Mweb for the outage. All ISP's can have problems, but the lack of communication from MWEB is disappointing.

Went down at 15h45 yesterday. Call center was not answering. Nothing on their site.

Only received an SMS at 19h17 last night that there was an outage.

Next SMS was 11h48 this morning that it has been fixed.

I agree, the odd outage is understandable but the lack of communication and feedback is very poor. Call centre was unavailable, at the best of times when you do get through you are 50 or so in line, no feedback on their webiste. Secondly they stated only Pretoria/Gauteng was affected yet I am in Durban and could not open many sites, it only was fixed today. MWEB how difficult is it to just provide honest and regular feedback, this will avoid much frustration!
