I have a 10mbs DSL line with MWEB as my ISP (I also have a backup account with IS).
Almost daily I experience problems with the mweb smtp server smtp.mweb.co.za.
I get timeouts, unknown errors, small emails with no attachments that sit in the outbox for hours on end and do not get sent.
The only way to fix it when this happens is to reboot my adsl router and get another IP address.
It seems to me that this issue is caused by some anti spam software on the smtp server that is blocking my ip address after X amount of time and that is why it gets resolved when I reboot the router.
Let me just state that my line is fine when this happens, I can even send smtp email via Google. It is ONLY MWEB that has this issue.
I have also tested with IS and their smtp server absolutely never has any problems.
Does anyone else experience this ongoing issue?
