Hey...

I'm thinking of changing to the Mweb 4Mbps standard from my current 2mbps telkom uncapped.

good idea?Bad idea?
NB: i use about 100 gigs a month.

Thanks....

Hi, You can use about 250 gigs on the standard package and about 400-440 gigs on the Premium package so if you are certain that you only use 100gigs about then this package will be perfect for you

No, I got throttled at exactly 110 gigs last week. Downloaded content, not the total content. Though I would upgrade to 6 as my streaming habits got a bit heavier, but I was away December, so I probably just consumed a bit more content when I got back. I am back under the threshold again. I normally do around 70, but Jan was just that bit over.

I think it is a good idea. Let me put to you this way. We am streaming on 2 devices and playing online gaming on a third and it is still okay most of the time. It does not always work out though. Then I just ask the family to stream one at a time or watch youtube/nf or whatever together.

Throttle speed is still good enough to stream sd to 1 device.

A standard 4Mbps should be fine for you. Mweb throttles at around 110-120Gigs. I usually use around 100Gigs a month without problem. I only get throttled on those heavy months that just so happen to coincide with steam sales lol.

Does web Africa throttle/shape their capped products?
I don't mind going with Mweb, but i thought that if Web Africa does not shape during the day it would be better because majority of my massive downloads are done at night...
