mweb throttling

So is mweb throttling all ports?

i'm on 4mb uncapped and suddenly this evening, all downloads have come to a grinding halt. iOS4 update is coming down @ 40k/sec.

Microsoft downloads are also 40k/ sec

sure, why would they do this logically ? did you try to log a fault call/phone mweb/reset router ?

no issues with speed tests

please do speed and ping tests as follows :]
1) speed and ping test RSA: JHB and CT
2) speed and ping test USA: NY
3) speed and pint test GB : London/Manchester


using telkom 4 meg line with mweb 4 meg uncapped (non business)

RSA - CT



RSA - JHB



USA - NY



GB - London

torrent test was fine

still seems pretty fast to me...

just for the record, mweb have never throttled normal downloads in the past. it just seems like this evening its suddenly gone pair shaped

Are you seriously getting full speed on torrents???
I'm getting heavily throttled.
Get 20-40KBps in the day, 80-160 at night.

Was getting 80KBps last night, tried Hotspot Shield and got 60KBps.
The IS ftp link gives me 407KBps.

Yes, you're getting shaped on various ports. That's what Mweb does- and no, you won't get full speed unless it's an UNshaped account.

sure it's called starting off with google and looking for ways to do a proper setup of uttorrent to get decent speeds.
