so i got mweb uncapped about half way through the last month (may) and it was great, decent wow ms, good download speeds etc. Now its the first of the month; 15 kb/s max download speed, cant log into wow without disconnecting yet when i run a speed test it tells me 3.2 download np

wtf?

 
Don't even try contacting their support - they claim ignorance...

Update: SEACOM Preparing for final Network configuration - 31 May 2010
The cable ship in charge of the reconfiguration of the Arabian Sea’s branching unit is working according to schedule with the final splicing now underway. SEACOM continues to monitor the ship’s activities closely and remains confident that no downtime will be experienced by customers. When complete and fully operational, this network configuration will enable customers to experience improved services through the use of the shortest route to Europe. Presently, SEACOM connects via India and onwards to Egypt and Europe through the SEA-ME-WE 4 cable.

my line dropped complete for about 5 mins about 10 minutes ago, when it came back it was back to full download speeds and good wow ms- the world is right again :)
 
I'm getting timed out or disconnected every few minutes since yesterday. Tested a second modem/router, the same. Had Telkom tested my line, no problem. What's the problem MWEB? My download speed is currently 43kbps on a 4meg line, my speed at Cybersmart was that on a 384 line. I getting more and more irritated with MWEB. Had 2 outages in 3 years with Cybersmart. My MWEB line is more down than up. I'm considering to move to another ISP ASAP.
