Just wondering if we could get an indication from the MWEB rep as to what MWEB's plans are regarding the 10mbps upgrades and their uncapped offerings?

Let MWEB first get their 4Meg service up to scratch

Well, it's a related question. If they need to resort to shaping on the 4mbps service to keep their network quality acceptable, will they even offer 10mbps packages?

Would suck if Telkom finally came to the party and the ISPs didn't.

They will obviously have a 8 or 10 Mbps offering but will be priced more realistically. R539 isn't enough for a 4meg service. They'll price the 8/10 meg offer over R999p/m. I actually hope they have separate 8 and 10 meg packages.

Hi all, we have not yet received any official correspondence from Telkom. We will let you know as soon as Telkom have confirmed what their plans are.

Kind regards
MWEB Operations

There's a surprise . It must be a nightmare for the poor ISP's having to rely on Telkom for information.

10meg will allow MWEB to terminate users at 2.5X the rate they are currently.

Wow that must suck not knowing what is going to happen to your way of operating your business. Kind of like DSTV not knowing about their programming...oh wait lol :P

Only kidding. But yeah that must suck. I suppose Telkom doesn't want anyone letting the cat out of the bag with regards to all line speeds etc.

Nothing you've said make any sense.

Thing is, I wouldn't use more data on a 10meg line... I would just get what i want quicker...

Whats the point of a 10 Meg uncapped speed.. they will just shape it to dial-up speed anyway
