theres a R30 difference between the two packages.

Uncapped 512 = R599 incl line rental

this would be like asking which is faster, a Golf that can do 240km/h or the honda that can do 260km/h.

edit: ah, only saw the unshapped now...my bad

I would go for unshaped.

i was just about to ask which one is the golf and which is the honda :p

correct me if im wrong but isnt the max you can bring down on a 384 line around 50kbs?

but the line is 384 kbs, why would it only "bring down" 50kbs?

unless you are trying to say KB/s?

edit: yep, probably.... 384kb/s = 48KB/s

lmao slow day keep?

thats what i want to know, if you reach a point where your 512 line ends up slower than an unshapped 384 line

it depends what protocols/websites you want to use to download from and if mweb are shaping them - chances are that they do.

512 is 128kbs faster than 384, that's not too much.....

It only sounds like a lot because 384 is pretty low already, but 128kbps is really nothing - that's like 16KB/s extra, AT MOST

Rather get unshaped man.

Openweb Gold 384k Uncapped (shaped, but less than usual) I get around 75GB a month.

Better value than DSTV, and all my shtuff's HD ;)
