Hello,

i cant remember exaclty but i think it was Pada who told me that because i have been placed on telkoms Saix network i will have a limit of 30GB, currently im on about 28.2GB and i need to know whats gonna happen when i reach 30GB and how i can change to mweb backbone so i can keep downloading?

I logged into my router and changed the username from:

****@mweb.co.za to ******@dslmweb.co.za but then i had no connectivity...

My account has been moved over to the Saix bandwidth and my usage is 40 odd gigs for this month. Don't think there is a limit of 30 gigs.

I'm actually using both [email protected] (for SAIX NZB downloads) and [email protected] (my default connection) :D

DUDE!@##$%% : Phone Mweb and ask them why the @dslmweb.co.za isn't working! The Mweb operators are really helpful and reasonably skilled IMO.

ok...

how do i get on the SAIX News Server??
I tried news.saix.net/news2.saix.net but it just times out...

im not, im dialing @mweb.co.za

can u access through http??? because when i type news.saix.net in my browser it does nothing...

Of course you can't access it via a web browser, since its an NNTP (news) server!
If you don't have an NNTP client, you can test your connectivity by connecting to the server with telnet on port 119
eg. run: telnet news.saix.net 119
* Windows 7 users has to install Telnet first, which can be done through Add/Remove programs -> Windows Components (or something like that).

You won't be able to use the saix news server if you're an MWeb customer. Try news.mweb.co.za
If you don't mind paying for a news server, try Astraweb (Please see http://www.astraweb.com for more info).
