MWeb Uncapped Signup Time?

How long should it take to get signed up for an MWeb Uncapped account? I signed up online last night (including uploading scanned copies of ID and utility bill to comply with commie-style regulations) but haven't received anything from them yet. I also submitted a support request to them earlier today but haven't received any kind of response to that, either. How long did it take for others? I think this is ridiculous, there is no reason why signing up for an ADSL account shouldn't be instant, as it has been at other ISPs.
 
Oops! Turns out to be my mistake --- I was over-hasty and entered my cellphone number incorrectly during the signup process. Phoned them now and sorted it out.
 
I phoned them before signing up and the sales rep told me that signing up via the online form will take quite a bit longer then doing it via the phone. My experience phoning and signing up was pretty quick. Within a few hours everything went through and the account was active.

Unfortunately with RICA it takes some time to process those documents. But I would still recommend phoning them and getting everything sorted quickly.

P.S. in any case the little bit of a wait will be worth it, the service is great compared to the others out there.
 
Can log in now, but the account still isn't working properly ... the only site I can access is the MWeb site. On the phone again ...

*edit* seems like any password lets me in but in the mweb-site-only mode, so seems like somehow they gave me the wrong password now; tech people are trying to sort it out now.

*Doh* ... more blonde moments, my further problems were also basically my own stupidity. Clearly I am 'distracted' lately. All sorted!
 
Ha ha Tick, glad to hear you got it sorted! I also found to my surprise that you can log on with your router using any password but it will not allow you to actually use the internet.

In any case, well to Mweb (previously known as the dark side)
 
I signed up last week sunday, still waiting for the account but thats cos I'm starting from scratch
 
How long did it take for those signing up from scratch for an 'all-in' uncapped account with Mweb?

I signed up on 19 April and still nothing, call centre tells me it's showing on the system as 'Processing' and they're waiting for Telkom to transfer the line to them or something. At the time of signing up they told me it would take 2-3 weeks and now the call centre is telling me 28 working days!
