Does this really mean uncapped or is there a FUP hidden somewhere?

Just had iBurst cancel their VAS (R199pm) which essentially gave me a "free" 90GBpm. (Was paying R348pm) Any suggestions for a replacement. On a financial note, I don't even have a Telkom line.

You need to get a Telkom line, then go and select the ISP, If you want to download the entire internet consider a premium package

Well, MWEB is now transparent on their usage policy - 4MB standard line for around R270 pm, you get 100GB before they start throttling you. Business uncapped 4mb for around R550 you get 400GB if I'm not mistaken.

If you know how much you use per month at least you can make an informed decision.

But the ISP should be anybody except MWEB. :)
The trouble with a premium package is the premium price. On top of Telkom's slice. Was spoiled for a few years with iBurst. I think maybe I should stick to 10GBpm and watch the movies on DSTV.

@Glingfram Thanks for that info. R270 + Telkom R457 = R727. For 100GB. I used to get 100GB from iBurst for R348. Half-price. :(

4Mbps Uncapped ADSL Data Only costs R239 per month (add R210 per month for MWEB to manage your DSL line), and has a download threshold of approximately 110GB over a 30 day rolling window: http://www.mweb.co.za/internet-connection/adsl/uncapped-adsl/4mbps-uncapped-adsl.aspx

4Mbps Premium Uncapped ADSL Data Only costs R539 per month (add R230 per month for MWEB to manage your DSL line), and has a download threshold of approximately 400GB over a 30 day rolling window: http://www.mweb.co.za/internet-conn...ncapped-adsl/4mbps-premium-uncapped-adsl.aspx

OP, please PM me your contact details and I'll get Sales to ring you to chat about your options.

But what was your speed?

You could always get a 2Mbps Telkom line, would take R100 off.

Pretty happy with my 4mb uncapped for R240 + line rental through Telkom. I prefer to handle things myself than to get 2 companies to talk to each other on my behalf.

I agree. My point was that even though you pay more, you're getting much faster speed than iBurst. And reliability. But you probably know this. ;)
