Actually it was because some were using other accounts in the interim so they needed the notification.

And the other isp's didnt go down. Wait till it happens again, and we'll see what tune you sing.
 
I don't remember such a long outage from Telkom/WebAfrica. (Maybe the memory of bad experiences fade?)
So I think this is something to complain about. I hope it's not the norm for Mweb.

Is anyone else experience really slow speeds now?

I hope one day there is a medical term for people who think there internet is slow all the time, for now we will just associate it with hypochondria. The internetz is working fine, my speeds are perfect.
 
What about speedachondria? Actually I'm only getting 100KB/s off news.mweb.co.za and only 20.7 KB/s off http download with a 4mb line :(

200KB to astraweb, 50 on updates, and gf is gaming.
 
+1 with Milano...speeds are not great. Also on 4mb line. But glad its at least working again:)

My speedtest has been erratic - speeds now are dismal - http is only 54kb/s (4mb line) off a file from cnet.com.

Wife trying to use facebook - page wont even load.

I am not impressed.

As an edit - On Axxess i was never below 450kb/s. I think i am going back.
 
Well so much for speedachondria... sounds like some of the problems aren't fully resolved for all users yet.

What shall we call instant dismissal of others reports... "ar$eholia" perhaps?

International connection is back but downloads from news.mweb.co.za have slowed to a third.......... is there a reason for it?
Downloads were flying at full speed while international was out .

Perhaps mweb have started throttling connections to there news server? im connected to astraweb at 200KB+ (my line syncs at 3mbit)
 
I would think that this being a weekend there would be not throttling.............. I am on Mweb test account but if thats how it goes then will not be signing with them.
Is anybody on imaginet uncapped? is their speeds any better?

I am not referring to throttling of the ADSL accounts per say, i am talking about connections primarily to the news servers (as in incoming connections), imaginet ? i believe you mean imagine IPS?

Is Mweb down again? I logged onto my Axxess account - as i couldnt even open Google on MWEB. Seems like Telkom site was fine, but no international sites.

Pissing me off Mweb.
