MWeb UP AGAIN!

Is Mweb down again? I logged onto my Axxess account - as i couldnt even open Google on MWEB. Seems like Telkom site was fine, but no international sites.

Pissing me off Mweb.

yep I am sorry you are right IMAGINE ISP . I believe they are selling IS bandwidth. I was with webafrica before and had no problem with speed.
 
nope - i am down - no international bandwidth on Mweb - axxess is working fine.

I even got a "tesT" account from a helpdesk person at Mweb to see if it was my account - her's does the same thing.

Phoned telkom , my line is fine, attenuation is fine...

Perhaps mweb have started throttling connections to there news server?
Thats very unlikely. Its a local connection, which don't get shaped. They might have messed with the upstream news link though in which case only uncached things should have changed.

You clearly are not understanding what i am saying, when there news server accepts connection they could be limiting the download speed each connection does to there servers. Perhaps to much strain on there servers. Im not talking about shaping, throttling Anyways it might not be the case.Just an assumption.
 
MWeb still pig slow

MWeb is still pig slow following yesterday's glitch. And they're not answering their support phones either!! How's that for service??? Just go dark on your customers...

I'm getting very variable ping and speed test results from speedtest.net - no better than 1/10 of the up and download speeds I should be getting. Telkom has already reset my switch port this morning, with no improvement.

In case I didn't mention... :mad: MWeb are not answering their phones! :mad:
 
lol, glad I did not jump on the bandwagon yet... internet's been 100% for me.

Odd, all support lines are open and running fine.
 
MWeb not answering phones??

I've just tried 0860-112-252 from a landline and cell phone, and MWeb is not home....
