Hi all,

I'm interested in getting MWEB's Virtual Server Hosting to replace my current shared hosting environment which runs about 60 websites and 180 email accounts. The websites range from basic HTML, Wordpress, Joomla and Orchard CMS.

I'm pretty new to server management and any input will be much appreciated.

Cheers

If you're new to server management then you would need to learn Linux Administration, Firewalling, DNS, whatever control panel they have, Spam Control - to name a few.

OR you would need to pay them extra to manage it for you. Alternatively hire an outsourced company to manage the VPS on your behalf

You should not be placing client data on a server that you are managing if you are new to it (unless these are your websites). Like Rudi said, you should at the very least outsource the server management.

I've realised the scope of administration and responsibility involved and opted to go for a managed solution.

Thnx for the feedback
