MXit 6.0.0 for your BlackBerry

I got a message on BBM that a new version of Mxit is available for Blackberry:

MXit 6.0.0 for your BlackBerry

Now I get a message that it is a scam.

Any ideas if this is really a scam or just a beta version?

Beta version. Already a thread on this, running it now to test it (don't use mxit ) and its 100x better than 5. It looks like a BB app.
