Last night I received a letter from the Advertising Standards Authority that my complaint has been logged and that response from WBS is now needed to proceed.

Let's see what their Spin Doctors can do. Anyone with an ITWeb connection (can't now, bit busy) can submit them a tipoff that I logged a complaint against them and that things would be heating up for them quite soon. Get it out to the media that WBS is just like Sentech and will suffer the wrath of it's CUSTOMERS!

Good for you mate !!! Fist positive thing i have heard on this forum in terms of taking them to task

I am busy with my story too ...

I will submit it to as many places as I can - ASA, media etc.

I hope they lose few hundred clients because of me! They must learn how to do business ...

you cant submit a story to ASA, they have strict protocols to follow you need to format your complaint not in terms of crappy service but in terms of lies in advertising and attatch proof, liek a flyer or whatever, they dont deal with contractual obligations at all and they dont care about that. WBS covers itself pretty well, lines like "up-to" "burst rate" etc, but where noone has them by the balls is they suspended him and others (liek me) after we went over 6GB last month (well some of us were way way waaay over that) forcing us to pay whilst never once in thier ads mentioning they would cut anybody off. Well they did and if you were one of the people cut off use that as your base to file a complaint to ASA rather than just mentioning you got crappy service or speeds in your area werent what you would have hoped they would be.
