I was traveling at 0700 this morning against the sun and saw the windscreen was a bit dirty, so I apply the sprayer to water the window, but it became worst, then add more water, only to realize that the water is freezing on the window, and next moment hear the left wheels are not on the tar anymore, go back to the tar with no sight, switch on the hazards and stop, use my drinking water to remove the ice.

The sun at 07h00 can be brutal in Durban tho... Was driving up Rinaldo road this morning at about that time and basically had to go around a corner completely blind thanks to the sun

There is a drop of sunlight liquid in the water

Normally use this one from Audi, cleans the windows really well and think its a Glycerol based product so doesn't freeze.

I mix a little bit of window cleaner in water and then that goes into my reservoir.

Someone at work told me shatterproof windscreen won't do that, he was willing to bet me a breakfast, I did not bet but went and looked, it is a Pilkington, OEM windscreen.
