Yeah... my connection sucks again, im getting continuesly disconnected from IRC, and its damm annoying.

Shaun: Cant you block out all the bandwidth hogs P2P like you did a little while back? Put them in their own IP pool or something, let them screw themselves over.

Hogs: Unless ure paying for the bandwidth, you are screwing it up for a lot of the rest of us. I dont care if you wanna get the latest porn movie off the net. I just wanna stable connection.

This sucks royaly
 
the hogs are gone, and the network is fast for some (like me :)) and slow for others... conclusion? IT WASN'T THE BANDWITH "HOGS" CAUSING THE NETWORK PROBLEMS

I can't believe the first thing you start believing from WBS is that trash, march people downloaded 250GB a month and there was by far more speed all around, this month 20GB is considered alot and suddenly these 30 - 100 users are messing it up for you, yeah right, quit clutching at straws
 
Wow I wonder if the Telkom training camps attended by Sentech and WBS included: Brainwashing 101 :D
 
rofl @ Roi. And Pan, Please report your problems to wbs and let them know they can reconnect the disconnected users, as the disconnection attempt to solve their problems didn't solve anything. Thank You

Telkom speed test looks OK:

* Download time: 5.118 seconds
* Size of file: 500 KiloBytes
* Estimated line speed: 797.2 (kilobits/second)
* Estimated line speed: 97.7 (kiloBytes/second)

But response times to page selections when surfing are poor.

Then we look at the pings:

----195.92.95.5 PING Statistics----
66 packets transmitted, 63 packets received, 4% packet loss
round-trip (ms) min/avg/max = 250/306/590

----196.4.160.2 PING Statistics----
66 packets transmitted, 61 packets received, 7% packet loss
round-trip (ms) min/avg/max = 50/93/240

----196.30.31.120 PING Statistics----
66 packets transmitted, 54 packets received, 18% packet loss
round-trip (ms) min/avg/max = 50/94/250

As for international, both the Stanford and Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility tests time out. Other pages load.
 
My connection speeds sucks aswell. Im only getting max on download 10 k decided to switch it off and getting disconneted from MSN/IRC like ever 10 mins or so, maybe its new Shapping rules or something this has happend since yesterday when the CAP actually came in place.
 
After all the bandwidth hogs got off, all that's happened is that there is now a NEW generation of bandwidth hogs, and still the same mismanagement of bandwidth at WBS HQ. :rolleyes:
 
I agree there are bandwidth hogs around that are only now starting to download, the bandwidth aint distrubuting to everyone its going all to one person or few. During the early hours of the morning i can download when they do firmware update thats when once can seriously download untill 4am.

nothing works again, only http, how great!!!!!!!!

so here is what I got for my money this month:

- 7 days http only

- 4 days normal connection

- 1 day being completely disconnected

- 1 day (so far) http only

that is just so great!!! I am paying 4 times as much as it cost in the normal world!

so far I have iBurst for 13 days and I got 9 days of bullsh1t and 4 days of internet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And why may I ask are you still with iBurst?
 
Support the action to cancel your connection. This thread is where you can pledge your support. 6 have cancelled, including some well known names on the iBurst forum. This all in less than a day and a half.
The action uses a specific approach that will not put you out of a connection until end of May.
