My Current C2D E6750 CPU referred to in SB benchmark!

lol I'd think you'd be quite depressed :p

Unless you excited for an upgrade? :D

Mm I'm a bit disappointed.. a top of the range, quad core CPU from 2011 is only twice as fast as a low-end dual core from 5 years ago? Would have expected to see huge differences.. Or am I missing something?

Yes, very excited...

And TJ99, yes! you are missing something.... my cpu aint quite as bad as you make it out to be! It's only low end now, it wasn't "5 years ago"

Ok at least 3 years then? The E6700 was one of the first core 2's to be released (in 2006). The 6750 is juszt a slightly improved version of that.

But even if it were the fastest one at launch, it's still competing against a (very expensive) 4-core chip with hyper-threading and 2 or 3 generations later, so youd expect huge performance gains..

Ran the benchmark and scored 2089. So my CPU at 4.0 is about the same as a stock 2600K?

Guess I'll be holding out on that upgrade :D
