Yes of course you are right, why indeed should you go to all that trouble!
But while you are absolutely right in principle, there's the hassle factor, and I'm just so tired of fighting with my ISP/MTN about my billing through incorrect data monitoring that I can no longer be bothered.
I just monitor my own data, hit my 1GB cap by my own now-careful measurement and then stop, end of story -- even though again this month, for instance, their online counter says I have several hundred MBs left. I just KNOW that if I attempt to use it, I'm in for another long dispute, and who needs it!
In light of current problems with MTN billing I am trying to keep an eye on my data usage. However, *162* has been unchanged for at least the last 2 weeks - which is impossible. Can anyone point my nose at an alternative (web page?) where I can monitor contract data usage (for what it's worth)?
TIA
H.
It seems as if only the data I use on my phone is being taken into account. Data downloaded through tethering isn't being deducted from the counter...
Sorry, there aint none. Even MTNActive website gives you the same remaining data as *162*
...
My balance was telling me 675MB remaining, which I knew was way out. I phoned the operator this morning and to my amazement she actually gave my the correct balance of 200MB. So at least there is SOME way of finding out...
