hi people... my GF is looking for a PA/admin position so if any one knows of a company or someone in JHB, please pm me the details...

thanks

Agencies also haven't had much success this side. She had a single pathetic contract earlier this year for a data-capture job, but that was only for 3 months. The total pay package was small to begin with, but the agency walked away with 33% of the total package :/

She was out of the game for a bit as her dad was very sick, so she helped attend to the family matters. Since he died and her mother is back on her feet for the most part, she's looking for work again.

Hopefully they get something, as the next batch of matrics are almost coming out the schools again :/

Pyro, let's keep a cool head... be positive something will pop up

Indeed, just need to find the right gap. My sister-in-law got a fairly nice position recently, so there's hope out there :)

I'd love to be in a position to have a PA :D
We all do! Our team at work has something like a PA, but she's currently on maternity leave.

Once in a while it's quite handy to offload some less specialised stuff on her, when the boss doesn't need her of course. Keeps her from getting bored as well in the quiter times.

Why not aim for something in management? That way I don't get an earful of how women are suppressed in the workplace and how gender-equality never happened...

Koeks could have been pretty much describing mine too!!!

Well, for the most part, my gf's been through the recruitment agencies - with no success. The jobs she's at now was organised directly with the company. My advice would be to stay away from recruitment agencies - they'll do the interview and everything will be great, only to never hear from them again (or from mine's experience, the one threw a tantrum over the phone when they contacted her 7 months later for a position and she was already employed - apparently being unemployed for 7 months is no biggie :erm:)

But while koeks's gf may be looking in roodepoort, mine's looking for the bryanston area now (something about being closer to my work and all :D)

None of you guys has posted skills and qualifications. What about experience?
With our grade 12 people not able to spell my boss will not like a 18/19 year old to work for him. .

We are looking for a Jnr Secretary/PA at our Law firm. Must be under 25, know Ms word, MSOutlook, can type and be very willing to learn. Must have own transport. Some knowledge of how a law firm works will be advantageous. The agencies have been pretty useless at getting ppl with the above criteria.

So PM me if you know of someone who meets the criteria.

One that does commercial work for listed companies, specialising also in litigation and we have started a debt collection practice as well.... ;)
The firm is called Edwin Jay Inc
