My Internet Keeps Timing out (LCP Down)

Hello Everyone

Router: Netgear Wireless ADSL Firewall Router DG834G
ISP: Telkom

Been having problems with my internet for about 3 days now where i cannot stay connected for more than 3 minutes before it times out again and when i test the connectiong through the router it says "LCP Down"

I dont know how to fix this problem, i have checked the router and im pretty sure its not the router :P

Please help

Post your line statistics, which are found in your router, it looks like this:

LCP: auth failures, generally

LCP is "link control protocol". This is most of what is PPP, except for actual IP traffic. If it's not working, then your ISP is probably unhappy with your user name and password. Why not head over to Afrihost and/or WebAfrica and get another?

Well i just moved from mweb at beginning of the year so my parents arent too keen to move again.
And those are more expensive i think thats also one of the reasons.

I think he was referring to the free 1GB account that both ISPs provide.

Oh, well i had a Telkom technician over and he couldnt find anything wrong and when he left he had done something and i was hoping he had fixed it but no luck :(
 
Just tried a Web Africa free trial, and it still times out. So that crosses out ISP? What else would it be? Could it still be the exchange?

Or could it be the line :/?

Please help, its timing out sometimes every 2 minutes and other times every 10 seconds of connection :(
