My iPhone can't sync the contacts to Mac

Hello. Recently I have trouble with my new iMac and iPhone. I can successfully synced the music files from my iPhone to Mac. The question is that my contacts that are still on the iPhone - How do I get these into my Address Book on the iMac? Do you have any ideas??

Have you selected Sync address book contacts under the info tab?

I've seen it recommended that you make sure you have at least one contact already in your address book on the mac.

If your phone is running iOS5 and the new mac is running Lion then the answer is easy: activate iCloud in both, then sit back and relax.
