From this morning I saw this "live" pixels on my screen. Only on certain colors, like the yellow file icons, and on the face part of my girls' face that I have for a wallpaper. I changed the wallpaper to any blank color, and I didn't see it. Seems like little yellow live dots that flicker, it's very small. I have a fujitsu siemens laptop, about 5 years old.

It was here earlier this morning, then goes away, and now its back again. It was worse this morning must say.

What the hell can it be?

Could be a failing graphics card or loose LCD connection. But at 5 years old, could be age. Last time this kind of thing happened to me it was a LCD screen failure.

dying pixels maybe... mine has a dead pixel out of box, but they refuse to replace the screen unless there are at least 3 dead pixels...

It's Telkom. They have taken all your bandwidth and now they are taking your pixels!!!

Disconnect from the Internet quick before they're all gone!!!! :p

LOL, yeah telkom will always be the culprit.

Whats strange is that it's just on certain colours? I wa away now for an hour or so, so the screen switched itself off, so when I got back now, and it started again, those pixels were gone. So it seems like they came when the screen is on for a while. Strange. How can I troubleshoot something like this?

Lose or suspect wire connection. Try positioning the screen at a different angle. I sometimes have something similar for 2 or 3 years already.

Telskum reset the pixels after your cap was reset. :D

Also try and plug it into an external monitor and see what it does ...

Eish If that happened to my laptop. I'll find a way to make two more dead pixels.
