My latency solved

I'd be a bit careful with these services, I got suspended for a couple of days because I was using lowerping (account got released day of lich king launch :P)

I don't think Blizz have a problem with the service itself, however you ip comes from SA then 10 mins later from EU, they think power leveling, etc.

Just something to bear in mind

I also just got onto gamemax

Its a great service, hats off to the guys running it.

My lats dropped from 500-650 to 350-400.

Win

well i've been with them now for about 45 days and no issues; having 2 pcs on a 384k line, semi unshaped, and getting from 205 to 250 solid. Its strange to see the green pc instead of it being yellow or red. heck on a shaped account i now get 300-400ms.

i would say they are worth it; they will be charging later on - ±R60 per client which is not bad considering things like artofping or httptunneling service is around same pricing p/m.

Also using this service with iburst. Downloaded the DezerUI last night while playing and the latency just stayed at the +-320 mark. Really awesome service, hopefully people don't get suspended, gamemax shut down or any other obscure unplanned event happens, for us to stop using it.

Yes but next breaking patch he can still play ;)

Ever since upgrading tools such as Wowmatrix, and before that acedownloader I have not had any problems with patches and my UI...
Just get well supported user interfaces, or keep it as modular as possible so you are not stuck when your UI pack still have to wait for people to update their modules in the pack.

First thing I did when I got wrath and started WoW again:

Spent 4 hours reconfiguring my UI :D I don't play standard

I don't understand how most people's UIs breakdown after new patches. As long as you keep your mods up to date (WoWMatrix makes this task a joke) and use popular/community approved mods you should have a very few problems.

All good mod coders will test their mods on PTR before every patch and make the appropriate changes to ensure a smooth transition to the next patch. Only big changes by Blizz to the background code will cause delays in mods being ready.

One piece of advice: try not to use pre-built UIs, those are the ones that break the most after patches especially if the author doesn't keep it up to date properly. Rather start off with one, remove addons you don't need and then keep that up to date on your own via WoWMatrix. Will prevent many major headaches.

With patch 3.0, a lot of mods where problematic for a few days. None of the action bar mods that I used where working. Some mods where discontinued. I found one that worked after a day or 2. Even wowmatrix couldnt download the ones where available because the sites where overwhelmed. This is normal behaviour, but only lasts a few days.

Gag is still broken and I want to /dota guildies in oggrimar

Did any1 else have random disconnects with gamemax last night? Me and a guildy dissed every hour or so in 10man Naxx. The latency was excellent though.
