Got neoconnect prime on Friday 29 Jan. My experience with neotel up to that point was good - took 3 business days for delivery.
Purchased the service for internet connection only.
I have been getting reasonable download speeds of around 450 kbps - the problem is that my average upload speed is approx 3 kbps. Cannot even browse the internet at these speeds. On most occasions cannot connect to Gmail - gives the This webpage is not available error message.
Latencies are also extremely high (650 - 999) and nowhere near the latency the FAQ says is achievable.
I am in an excellent coverage area (dark orange) in the south of JHB, yet only get a signal strength of 1-2 bars.
Phoned call centre on Sunday 1 Feb to log complaint - no response yet.
Any suggestions?
