My New Baby

My plan is to have 1 of each class at 40 and then decide the next to go to 70 with my hunter.

The one's at 40 are, pally, druid, lock and shammy - so i decided it was now time for a priest.

All my char are ally, so it will be another alliance.
What race should i go with and how would you suggest i spend the 30 talent points up to 40?

Gnome if you can. Racials don't matter for PVE but for PVP Escape Artist is imba. They make some of the best warriors, rogues, mages and warlocks in the game.

If you're adamant about priest you can go with Draenei for the extra hot which can be a lifesaver, but I'd probably rather go Dwarf for stoneform which helps so much against rogues. Dorf preests are awesome. Human and Night Elf priests have pvp racials which are almost pointless for healers.

Race choice should depend on what you want to do in the long term i.e. do you want to do mostly PVE or rmostly PVP and do you want to run as a dps class or as a healer?

Regardless of your endgame ambitions - you should level as shadow - its much easier and faster then leveling as holy or discipline.

I'd probably go with NE or Dwarf for PVP, NE for shadow PVE and human or dranaei for holy PVE.

If you haven't leveled a dranaei yet - its a nice new area up to level 20 and can be a bit of a change.
