... so it seems I can't get a CPU for my motherboard - so I'm guessing my other alternative is to sell the box below for 'scrap' However, I'm guessing it's worthless?

I know someone who may be selling a Pentium D soon. He also has a 3.2 prescott. What are you looking for exactly?

You'll get probably 1000 for it altogether sans CPU, perhaps a tiny bit more but thereabouts.

Edit I saw your earlier thread. You will just need to find out for sure which CPUs are supported and search for them specifically. There are tons of secondhand CPUs going around. There is no need to scrap that system, it's still pretty useful.

I would go with R1000 my statement of R500 was a bit low. Youmigh get a bit moer than R1000 so I would go in at R1400 and negotiate from there.
