Ja, its insane.... the only game that made my GPU suffer was crysis, and that was not so bad (running 4 X AA @ 1920 X 1080). I'll keep my 280 for a while still. Even my Q6600 is getting way old, but I cant see the point in upgrading it either!

Totally agree. only a sli or 3-way sli 480 machine will give you a decent fps boost but still so expensive. If I could get another GTX280 I will go for it but the one guy wanted R2500 for it so I turned him down. I wanted it to go 3 screens

Yeah, probably have to spend about 30K to really make a major jump in performance. When I can no longer play full HD on my system I will consider it....
