As a new and first time owner of a playstation i think it would be fair to say i was expecting alot, that said the ps3 is a very decent all rounder but am i the only one who finds the new dual shock controllers a little cheap and flimsy ? the graphics are awesome as expected so i'm happy with that! One of the games i was most looking forward to playing was mk vs dc, i got it and started to play and wasn't too impressed to be honest the gameplay was a bit sluggish ? or maybe it was just the standard controller because when i swapped it with my logitec controller i actually won a few rounds and found it more comfortable to play with but thats just my opinion. my gf tried out little big planet and she ofcourse loved it and embarrassingly me too . then i tried killzone 2 and i gave up after a 30min (i found it a bit hard) but i don't intend to give up, i just need a clean weekend to tackle that baby and i'm sure i will overcome. next up will be the orange box and i'm looking forward to that as well. Well all in all i think i quite enjoy the ps3 and looking forward to trying it out as a media centre as well. I just wish there was a wider range of games available ! i had to hunt for mk vs dc as most shops don't have a big stock or list of ps3 titles and i don't like buying online and waiting ! also i don't have internet as yet so my only option is to buy games and can't download off the PSN site so getting the games i want can be a bit fraustrating. Next few titles i'm looking forward to trying are Resi5 (which i have on pc) tekken 6 and the new release of SFiv (the one's with the new characters djay etc) i hope it doesn't dissapoint!

Where are you situated. I never have a problem getting PS3 games. But I usually will buy from Zaps & gamexchange. Alot of the fighting games don't really work well on both the xbox & ps3 controllers. Rather buy one that is taylored for those games. I have SFIV and that game is awesome. I am sure SSFIV wil be a hit.
jhb as well, got my mk vs dc from zaps. only saw zaps range yesterday and was quite impressed so maybe will keep looking there in future. gamexchange is in edenvale so will have to make a trip there one of the weekends i guess, for now i think i'm gonna keep trying mk vs dc and the orange box. i'm also playing NFS undercover on the pc and it reminds me alot of underground ! i know alot of people were dissapointed with it but to be honest i love it !

i find the ps3 awesome. Yup zaps has the largest range of ps3 games by far. I do my buying from there only.
As for the PS3 media server. You can't go wrong. I got mines on a 1gb backbone at home connected via ethernet wire. Dont waste your time connecting wirelessly. I think its a waste. You'll never be able to stream HD content at all. Go Wire or go home
Other than that enjoy the PS3.

Zaps FTW.... there PS3 stock is catching up to the Xbox shelves.this is one of the factors that made me consider getting a PS3, Zaps is 10 minutes away and game selection is awesome. Pre-Owned games aswell at real reasonable prices ( i only buy pre-owned,R700 for a game is mind blowing
