My Rain 5G experience so far...

Talking modem out of the equation. Anything speed over 20Mbps for R1000 pm uncapped for fixed LTE is a bonus. Have you seen pricing out there?
Good point. I'd take a constant 50Mbps all day long. Hell even that 20Mbps is better than my 10Mbps ADSL and it's fairing well.

The problem you're facing is that Telkom is discontinuing their ADSL/VDSL network. If you don't have fibre in your area you're going to be put on LTE. 5G is significantly better than LTE, both in speed and latency...when you have signal.

The only thing exposed here is that high frequency ranges does not travel. I don't know about you but it's common knowledge that 5G suffers from poor signal.

That is why I asked @PAYBACK to post signal stats and I have a feeling it's very poor hence the slow speed. There is no congestion you are trying to imply.
I'd just like to point out that it's more the 3600 MHz spectrum which attenuates much faster than the lower frequency ones. The 5G protocols would be superior to 4G if implemented at the same frequency, but the spectrum is already allocated.

Yes indeed thanks for clearing up.

Interesting to note that Rain has 20MHz in 2500MHz which they use for LTE. That is also a very popular frequency to use for 5G. Would be nice if Rain did that to increase 5G coverage which will probably not happen because 4G will suffer badly if they take that away.

Full green if that means anything .

Better you cause you getting 5G LED , I am getting not signal at all.

Have since moved onto ODU (Outdoor unit). Tower down maybe with storm that came through?
