My roomate and his GF

She doesnt have a job, I think doing this might seem a little harsh.

That's her (and by extension - their) problem, not yours.

You can't please everyone, so settle for you being happy.

not to be obvious, but have an honest, open talk to your room-mate? I mean, what's the worst that can happen? If things don't change, one of you is gonna have to move out anyway.

You right, it is exactly what I need to do. it's just that I am not the best at dealing with these types of conversations and I do not want to jeopardize our friendship

Knocking off work now but will read through and answer all the posts when I get home.

Thanks in advance for the advice :D

Is your friend a reasonable guy? If he knew how you felt, would he arrange for her to move out without a fight? If yes, have a honest conversation with him.

If no, I would try to get them both to move out.

You have to talk to your friend. She is abusing your kindness, and she knows it. Do not allow people to do that.

Have a couple of beers. Say "Bro" and "Dude" a lot. You'll be fine.

Letting her stay permanently? No

it's akward for me when she is there.

Why, you like her body?

Seriously! have a few "accidents", come out of the bathroom naked, walk into her private space "by accident" off course.

Unfortunately some people take advantage of kind to heart people but sometimes you have to put your foot down so to speak!

Address this sooner than later. I used to have a rule (stolen from Scrubs) that people who slept over frequently would have to bring toilet paper as payment, with two girls in the house we went through the stuff, well like toilet paper.

Going through this thread, I was certain I would find something on the Big Bang Theory, and how right I was. :/

1. Don't do business with friends.

2. When doing business with friends, put proper documentation in place.

Unfortunately if you want to have your way you are going to have to be the bad guy one way or another. Or you just suck it up and deal with it...it's really your only option.

Just leave it for a few weeks it will sort it self out .
He will get tired of her or they will move out together.
Just give it some time.

I thought about it a little further and I think the reason I don't want to have this conversation with him is because I feel guilty. When my ex came to visit for a couple of months and she stayed over often. Surely though it is my house and that the same rules don't apply or am I completely wrong?
