They are one of the most expensive options though any reason you went with them?
Yeah, they are a bit more expensive than some other options.

I originally signed up with CISP, after I experienced their catastrophic support team I canceled before my area went live, from then I said that I will choose the ISP with the most knowledgeable pre-sales team and secondly good international peering. Their pre-sales team was the most knowledgeable of the ones I phoned/emailed and also the only ones out of 6 other ISPs that actually got back to me with all the info I requested and the signup forms within a few hours. I asked all the providers I contacted if they can provide me with a peering list (something which is relatively easily available) Surprisingly only Macrolan was able to provide me with the link to the list without explanation. Afrihost support wasn't bad but I was wary of them since there were reports of packet loss on Int routes. Cisp and Axxess were both unable to comprehend the term peering at all, even after I tried explaining. Home-Connect never returned my calls. Vox said they will call me back which I am still waiting for.

The second most important thing I wanted was someone with awesome peering to London & The Netherlands. By the looks of things they hit the ball out of the park. Downloading from NL with (default) 8 connections.

But there were some hiccups.

I was their first customer in PE and there was no interconnect in place. Macrolan said there was a cable to Durban that was not completed. Which I found weird because I knew a few people that had fibre already connected. Frogfoot then confirmed the cable was in place and operational. So then Macrolan did some further investigation and found that a patch cable must be installed at the DC, they then scheduled the installation for the Next week Friday. (7 days after my installation was done). After a tedious week of having the fibre box stare at me every day with a DSL connection that went down every 5 minutes, like they promised my internet went live at around 3PM on Friday. What an amazing feeling doing that first speedtest!

Internet ran great for a few months when at peak time my download speed would drop to 15-40Mbit/s from 1800 - 23:00 after a few weeks of back and forth with Macrolan I saw that I wasn't the only one experiencing that issue in PE. Turned out to be Frogfoot backhaul congestion unrelated to Macrolan's network. They fixed this exact issue twice. Macrolan also upgraded their interconnect capacity with Frogfoot in the meantime. Ever since my internet has been running like a machine.

There was some downtime in October (for which I received a nice 10% discount)

(I am not bashing any ISP, I am merely talking from my experience with the above mentioned ISPs.)

Nice story for a change.

Reminds me of the old adage...you get what you pay for.
(we shan't ask and what about if you can't or don't want to pay for such extravagant speeds)

Yeah I really disliked Seacom for changing to Selective peering but when it comes to their network it's pretty damn good and that is probably why Cloudflare is using them too.

Using Cloudflare Warp.

You can simply lookup the peering of an AS yourself though.

For example:

To expect a consumer help desk to assist with a list of peers is a bit of a stretch to be honest :)
