I challenge anyone here to beat my speedtest results. Im on Telkom 4MB DSL

Yeah ok maybe i'l clairify a lil more.

Im on telkom dsl.

my line is synching at 8mb download and 1 mb upload as seen in the screenshot.

I upload at 800+ kbps.

No-one in SA can beat that. If u can prove me wrong.

Do you actually download/upload at those speeds or are you just syncing at 8/1?

Thought not..
 
Please clear your cache completely and try the test again?

Also, aside from speed tests, do you get 800kbps when uploading to filesharing sites and places like flickr or youtube?

Download get's my backing - though I get what you're saying - either way - I don't know why we still get excited in this place with 4mb DSL :sick:

Come back to us when your line has degraded or your copper gets stolen...
 
OK il try with a different browser hence no cache issues. Ok my download seems to be limited to 3.5Mbps but my upload is defnitley 800+ kbps. heres another speedtest result in ie this time

Damn, lucky you then. Telkom may be doing trials and whatnot and you seem to be the lucky recepient.

Try www.speed.io for good measure.
 
I have a feeling I may be able to get 800KBps download with a different account. Tomorrow I'l try it with my unshaped account and see.
