Well done guy, happy hear you came right. If onyl hte IT Support at work had the same attitude. They would have ripped out drive and replaced at the first BSOD

Your used Microsoft account to login ?
If so use activation troubleshooter and tell it hardware changed

Awesome that you got it going!
Thanks for the updates on your progress.
I haven't had a SSD failed yet(touch wood)

My very first SSD was the OCZ Agility 3 240GB back in 2012,
it's still 100% working in my backup laptop,
although it doesn't do much these days.

I never did heavy reading/writing on it as it had a second mechanical drive.
should check crystaldiskinfo stats.

Yebo, she is working. Cold beers all around!

I did exactly that last night but this morning it went back to unactivated again

*shrug* guess I'll keep an eye on it and keep on reactivating if it moans at me.

I have Samsung, Intel , OCZ and Trancent ... all working fine

Only one that failed me was Mushkin

You have quite the spread there. I bought the Agility years ago from Rebeltech, think I paid R666 for it (maybe the drive is possesed) so I can't complain as it's given me good service thus far.

Congrats !

Cool. I was also going to retire this one to the laptop but the laptop gets used maybe an hour a week if at all.

SSD's do seem to be reliable but this issue that I encountered last night really had me worried. The wear leveling algorithm tells me I still have 86% life remaining and the estimated failure date is somewhere near the middle of the current century. I think SATA3 will be outdated by then anyway :D

A slight necro as I spotted this thread going through my old posts.

The OCZ Agility is still alive and doing duty in a spare laptop I setup for my folks. It absolutely flies with Windows 10 on, despite being a 10-year old Mecer laptop. I honestly didn't think it would have lasted as long as it has. Here's to ten more years!
