I just felt like showing off what I'm running at the moment :D

Performance/watt isn't the greatest around, I've actually had to remove the GTX 580 altogether as I have hit the limit of the PSU. I'll consider looking at a 1500w sometime in the future, but chances are low at the moment. Performance/cost is pretty darn good though :D

This PC was built with the following in mind, in descending order of importance
  • World Community Grid
  • GPUGrid
  • Media - 3DS, Maya, Photoshop, Lightroom, After Effects, Premier
  • General use - emails, forums, music, etc
  • Gaming

Edit - cropped the picture so it doesn't load a 3MB image 3000 odd pixels wide.

Cool rig. Surprised anyone is spending the kind of money on the world Community grid

I'm not even small fry in the bigger picture. There are guys with upwards of 500 cores running WCG - dedicated headless units so the rigs don't even serve multiple purposes as mine do (I have a few other small PCs running on the grid, old i7s). Here's a guy with almost 700 cores ACTIVE on the grid at the mo http://boincstats.com/en/stats/15/host/list/0/0/757507/1 with a total core count on the grid sitting at over 2,200 http://boincstats.com/en/stats/15/host/list/0/0/757507

Of course, none of us can compete with the big daddy member IBM, but it is company policy that work PCs run WCG on the IBM user :p
