I would more info on setting up my own WAN (wireless).
I intend in getting a 1 Megabit line,a uncapped isp, and 8 friends who are willing to join. Can i use VOIP(skype) to dial local numbers and will it be cheaper than telkom ?
I want to know if the Network adapter states it can broadcast 457m outdoors ..will it ? Do you get repeaters or sumtin ? Will an outdoor antenna be any good ? (looking for a range or 1KM)
I`m looking for the most cost effecient way.

Please assist...

It would prob turn up cheaper to have each one of your friends with a 192 ADSL line and a 30 gig ISP... After taking in all the payments for repeaters etc... and i donno if someone will have issues with a broudcast of a radius of 1km... using skype for local calls is cheaper than Telkom.
