Hi guys ;)

I pondered about this, thinking whether I should tell you about it or not, but I will because some of you are my friends.

I've blocked all search bots to my site, so this isn't a "advertising" post. (site is still under development)

I'm starting off as a reseller host for someone I know, I've registered my domain with Texo though and I'll be doing Pro Bono web design for all churches and charities, all I ask is a hosting fee, but if churches or groups have their own hosts, I'll still do the site for them.

I won't call myself a Web Design Pro, I'm using a sort of "wysiwyg" program to design the sites, which I received as a gift from a friend.

I would appreciate any feedback, even if you think my Terms & Conditions suck :p

I won't say who I'm reselling for, since that's private don't you think?

Anyways, here's the link:

www.yahweh.co.za

I'm the first Christian Webhost in South Africa, this post will serve as a reminder that you'll see similar outfits popping up soon, but I'm glad to call Yahweh the "original".

Ciao
tera

pm me your suggestions ;)

I think it's cool. The 'heavenly' wallpaper at the top of the page is nice. And even though I'm not a Christian, I think it's cool that you call yourself a Christian Web Host & Web Design company ... all the best in your endeavours.

(P.S - I love this line: How do I contact Yawheh? :D )

Typo, lol ;) :D :p Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it, off to spell check ..... :D

Edit: fixed, the sucky thing is the app I use doesn't have a built in spell checker :(

Eish, didn't even notice the typo .... I was referring to the irony of the question. Especially for us non-Christians I suppose.

How? I dont see the traditional robots.txt in the home directory.

Don't know if it's just me but the font you using seems a little "choppy".

Are you running Xp? I've thought about changing the font to either Arial () or Tahoma which everyone has, but I'll test it quickly ;)

I'm on vista. Just use arial as a first option, plain and simple and does the job well. Font is very rough and edgy, not very nice.

Also don't have a click through intro type page. Make the first page the sales page or about us...something that doesn't have to be clicked to enter. Basic rule is that people are lazy and don't like clicking as much.

Processing complete ;) Remember to refresh your browser, updated to Arial with a product showcase on the main page ;) :D :p

Well, I had a working Sunday today, grabbed screenshots of each template and it's colour variant, viewable here: http://templates.yahweh.co.za there's over 500 templates to choose from, which I think is fair ;) :D :p

Let me know if you see something I should change.

I've removed the digg button from the home page, I'm sure I'll get more business by word of mouth in any case and otherwise I'll utilize google adwords like others do.

Thanks for any suggestions,

tera,

btw. removed the robots.txt file since I submitted the url to yahoo and google ;)

You're not bursting my bubble at all, I'm glad you showed the link to me, I tried googling for local Christian hosts, but didn't find any, it's good to see there are some out there ;) Thanks for the well wishes.

Har har :p ;) :D If I did that I would be homeless forever :p

You are clearly underestimating the power of Google... ;)

I made a site once and it took 3 weeks to be indexed, added the Yahweh url yesterday and it's in the index, I know google is weird, that much I know :p
