My Wheels finaly fitted!

No dudes, the only cars that came in the revered GTA version was the 147, 156 and the GT Junior of old with GTA racing credentials...with a white front end and wider body. Whenever you see a 147/156 with a wider body, lower stance and teledial wheels, and a grunt to scare off small dogs...its a GTA. XrapidX - GTA's are quite fast, but there are a few turbo'd and modified n/a 147 2.0 out there, GTA's will normally NOT dice, coz they sip petrol like no one's business, avg 13 -15l/100kms
 
The wheels are nice but they look a bit out of place to me on that car, maybe its cos its red, maybe the mag just doesnt fit in my mind, but as long as your happy then congrats and i wish you the best.
 
to me they totally changed the look of the car, maybe a kitt will complete the whole look now, but many 147's are driving around with the MS Design kit, and its bloody expensive...

oh, GTA stands for Gran Tourer Allegeri....something, which means light weight gran tourer...which, if you know your Alfa's, the GTA's of late ARE NOT!
 
Yeh - we weren't dicing - he was just tailing me in moderate traffic... btw - my 2L NA only gets around 14L/100km - I get around 250-300km on 45L
 
ja but that's a VTEC dude...that engine churns out a lota power for a n/a 2.0

Oh, what about WELD wheels for your jap ride, VOLK is great, and Gram Lights...aparently one wheel in 17" weighs under 5kg!!

well then i dont think he would dice a 2.0l N/A :P im pretty sure its faster ;)

that GTA was quick for its time, i mean its now an 8 year old car, and its still amongst the quickest in the hot hatches section !

i have a 1.6 and my consumption sits at 12.5L/100km :/ so i think the GTA is closer on 18 - 20 :P

but they do look aggro!

How does your 1.6 get 12.5l/100km??? My 147 gets 8.5l/100kms and that's a 2.0!

Mate bought a black 147 GTA and for the first 2 months he filled the car up once a week!!!:eek:Needless to say, he now drives a Vespa to work and back...GTA is now for fun and weekends...
 
Yea my first two tanks, the reserve light came on at 350km and 330km respectivly - average 14.8l/100km without pushing it 95% of the time.

I filled up last night and I'm going out my way to see the lowest I get ...

MY 1.8 RSI got 11l/100km average

I gave a hiding to CLC350 the other day - thats a new V6 :)

damn...must remember...GTA is HEAVY! S2000 is lig...plus GTA looks better lol

Out of interest, the one behind me didn't look like the one in the pic from the link I posted...
 
ya GTA is 3.2 V6 184killerwats, but if it did not look bulky or agro or mad...it aint no GTA
 
I think its just a bad pic - if I do a search in google - the pics are similiar - also, if you click the car, it gives the engine as 184kw.

BUT - it doesn't look like the one that was tailing me... I actually can't find an Alfa hatch with the same body as the one that was tailing me - I'm sure it said 147 GTA on the back.

ive seen a 2.0l with a hectic body kit, GTA rims, and the GTA sticker, but ya if you know your alfa's :P its the 2.0l so who knows nowadays !
 
Wouldn't surprise me - don't get why people do that... why pretend the have something else?

Its like those Corolla's with Ferrari badges.
 
ya pull up at a robot and you can't hold your own against a 320d :P

baffles me !
 
... so this GTA is about as quick as a GTI/A3 2.0T up here at reef ?
