I have been sent a notice to say that I have used 50% of my allocated free data. I am on the Flexi package 1024MB

Can you explain how logging off at the end of the month will help me, and is there a way I can monitor what I am using.

I use my e-mails for business,and have 3 computers networked. I do surf the Internet for infomation, no movies or music downloads. Do e-mails use a lot of data. What uses the most.

1 October 2006 Sentech moved us over from 10 G no options. Real bully boys.

If you are using a router, it is very difficult to monitor how much you are using. You could install DUMeter on each computer and then sum up the total usage to get your grand total. Remember too that Sentech's bandwidth monitor is only updated (I think I am right on this) at midnight so you could try downloading stuff till midnight, log off and then compare what the log says with what DU says. Bit tricky though. I am pretty sure when others have tried this, they find the Sentech meter to be pretty accurate. 500MB's for 3 PC in 16 days is not too hectic and sounds about right.
