My WLAN not working

On my laptop, my WLAN just randomly stopped working
OK, so when I click refresh I can't find my Netgear Router like I used to...

My WLAN is on and all.... How would I sort out this issue?

I dunno... but I am having a problem with my fixed LAN... not all the computers can see each other. Each computer can only see one or two of the others. Weird.

Check your firewalls and antivirus programs.

Firewall is all the basic Windows Firewall all set on default... never fiddle with that.

Anti-Virus is all AVG Free 8.0.

Is there a problem mixing Windows XP home and XP pro?

I had the full AVG 8.0 (registered) installed and couldn't see the other PC's on my network, I disabled its firewall and hey presto, I could see the other PCs on the network.
(Not sure what the settings in the firewall should be to allow access but retain security?)
