As you can see from the site, they've also ripped-off Alien vs Predator 2 and I am legend. :sick:

I watched this movie Pans Labyrint - was pretty cool.
Knocked up was good on dvd.
Stardust was fantastic.
 
watched The Village by M Night Shyamalan last night.

no - thought it was a pretty good movie

what i liked about it is the fact that it uses subtle means to reinforce the main theme of the movie

Wtf 1408 is only being released here next month? It's been out for like 5/6 months now!

And people complain about those who download :rolleyes:
 
Watched Juno the other night. Was pretty cool. Not really your average Hollywood movie. I think ladies might get more out of it than guys, but I quite enjoyed it.
7/10 :)

Saw Michael Clayton last night. I am not a huge fan of George Clooney but I don't hate the guy. This one was kinda strange for me. I think it took itself waay to seriously, was a bit slow in parts and very gloomy. Decent story though. Not sure about the acting. Clooney seemed to me to be playing himself as ever...But it's still worth catching if you get the chance

Well, most of the bigger blockbusters release simultaneously or soon after the U.S. For smaller releases, the local distributors of the film have all kinds of factors to take into consideration when deciding when to slot a release in.

For example, film is an expensive medium, and importing shiny new prints in competition with the demand from the States may not be viable, when factoring in the likely income of the film. Also, you're not even sure if a smaller film's going to be popular at all until it's had a test run in other markets. Other local factors include school / public holidays, and the likelihood of much bigger titles drowning out the smaller, uncertain bets.

Those are all just examples; I can't speak specifically to the rationale behind the release date of 1408 or any other specific title.

No fair - I really want to see that! I've been listening to the soundtrack, which has been quite quirky and enjoyable. At the Shut I'm Dancing party last night, one of the bands played some of the tracks from it, and soundtracks were also given away as prizes.
