I thought seeing as this phone is so popular(albeit old) we should dedicate a thread to it.

People can post links to cool stuff for the phone,. reviews, gripes, questions and the like here.

I have had my K750i for a year now and I wouldn't change it for anything :)
 
And i shall get the ball rolling with a few comments...

Things I have noticed:

The battery life seems to decrease the older it gets ( my mates has the same phone and he has the same prob. We need to recharge daily now)

Also, the joystick gets clogged up with grit by me quite often meaning you have to clean it out somehow or press really hard to get it to do what u want it to...
 
my contribution:
the k750 can be flashed to w800i firmware easily, as the hardware is the same

there are patches available to make the radio work without having the headset/aerial plugged in

it is possible to disable the click noise the camera makes when taking photos

Care to elaborate a bit on the above points or supply some links to resources needed :D

I just hate the joystick, I have to really push my down hard to the point I think I am going to break something. Other wise great phone, served me well the past year.
 
Nice! a thread dedicated to my phone :D

Anyone figured out how to select, copy & paste text yet? I notice when your typing an e-mail and use the volume up button it selects the text but not sure how to paste.

Theres an adapter thats about R50 it serves as an aerial.

Mmmm camera sound, yes there is, I think change to your silent profile it should be quiet.

To clean your joystick, go to the filling station and just lightly blow air into that slot, did it once, just for fun, never had any problems it.

The K750 does not have the copy and paste feature unfortunately.

One reason I can give to anyone wanting to change to W800 software. There is a particular firmware (cant remember it very well) that has a higher music output than the W800 and was also much more stable if you using a 2Gb card and higher!
Other than that and the walkman menu both Firmwares are exactly the same.

And are the rest of the specs the same as well?

Exactly exactly the same, just the walkman menu is different on the W800.
A K750 with a 512Mb card is better than a W800 mainly coz the cam is better and walkman output is the same or better.

of course, the luxury of using FARmanager (as detailed in some links above) is that you can apply the updated camera drivers (topsony.com has these) to the w800i so at the end it is a case of do you want an orange phone or a black phone.
